Bangalore: Tobacco giant ITC’s Sunfeast Pasta brand stirred things up on the eve of its World 10K Marathon by hosting a pasta party. The party was part of the run-up to the marathon, which coincides with World Tobacco Day on May 31. Assorted celebrities such as sprint legend Maurice Greene and model-actor Milind Soman teamed up with Ukrainian runner Inna L. took their place behind the stove to dish up pasta dishes, much to the audience’s delight. The well-toned Milind Soman, brand ambassador for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society of India, said the marathon was a good initiative to promote fitness. Sunfeast, which raised Rs. 2.5 lakh in the run-up to the event, donated it to MSSI. “I have been associated with the MS society for 10 years. Not many people know about this disease, its cause or its symptoms, so I am trying to promote awareness (on it).” When Mr. Soman was questioned on what was common between him and Mr. Greene in running the marathon, he quipped: “Well, both of us are certainly good-looking.” A visibly charged Mr. Greene said he was looking forward to the run as it was his first in India. He hoped to come back soon and for a longer period.
