BANGALORE: A candlelight vigil will be organised here on Sunday to highlight the problems being faced by people living with HIV/AIDS. Addressing presspersons on Saturday, Anasuya, a representative of Bangalore HIV and AIDS Forum, said that the event was being organised as part of Global AIDS Week of Action (GAWA). She said that the forum intended to pressure the Government to keep its promises on universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support. People living with HIV/AIDS would address the gathering. The event was being held in memory of those who had lost their lives to AIDS. Over 1,000 people, including those living with HIV/AIDS, would participate in the programme to be held at the BDA Complex, Neelasandra, at 6 p.m., Ms. Anasuya said.
