A chance to clear the tenth grade

KOCHI: Admission to the four th batch of the class X ‘A-level’ course conducted by the Kerala State Literacy Mission Authority, under the General Education Department, will be open between June 1 and July 31. The course is equivalent to the SSLC examination conducted by the State.

The applicants should have attained the age of 17 years as on June 1. They should have passed class VII. Those who had unsuccessfully appeared for the SSLC exam under the grade system will not be eligible to apply for this course. However, those could not make it before the grade system was introduced could apply. Candidates who pass the ‘A-level’ course will be eligible for further education and for government appointmen- ts through the PSC. Classes will be held only on holidays.
