Corrections and clarifications

The tenth paragraph of “What’s so ‘Hon’ble’ about MPs, ask voters” (Op-Ed, May 28, 2009) had a reference to “Prime Minister Gordon”. It should have been “Prime Minister Gordon Brown”.

The name of the minister in the Andhra Pradesh Government is V. Sunitha Lakshma Reddy. Her name — in the photocaption of a report “Sabitha, first A.P. woman Home Minister” (May 27, 2009) — was misspelt (in some editions) as Sunitha Lakshman Reddy.

In a graphic titled “Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2009” (“No hike in fee for engineering courses”, Tamil Nadu, May 27, 2009, page 1), the date for the entry “Assigning random number” should be June 20, 2009, and not May 20, 2009, as published. The date for the entry “Publication of rank list” should be June 25, 2009 and not May 25, 2009 as published. (The errors were in an edition published from Tiruchirapalli and meant for circulation in Salem and its neighbourhood.)
