Press Club awards announced

Thiruvananthapuram: Saraswathy Nagarajan, Chief Sub Editor, The Hindu, has been selected for the K. Madhavankutty award instituted by the Press Club, Thiruvananthapuram, for the feature story titled ‘Mind over Matter.’
The V. Krishnamoorthy award for the best news story has gone to G. Rajiv, Senior Reporter, The New Indian Express for his report ‘Minting money with fake OP tickets.’
The K.C. Sebastian award for political reporting is for G.Venugopal, news editor, Mangalam, Kottayam for the serialised work titled ‘Union Trade’.
The awards comprise Rs.1000 in cash, a statuette and a citation each. Press Club president M.M. Subair and secretary C.S. Biju said the awards would be presented at a function to he held here in June.
