VMCA lifts Savsol Cup

HUBLI: VMCA, Dharwad, won the under-16 cricket tournament for the Savsol Cup here on Sunday on the basis of first innings lead over HCA, Hubli.

The scores: VMCA, 433 for seven in 75 overs (Samarth Ooty 140, Sohail Ali 118, Shashank Hulmani 48) and 141 for one in 31 overs (Samarth Ooty 70 not out, Parth P. 51 not out) drew with HCA ‘A’ 340 for 9 in 75 overs (Shushant Masalwad 83, Atreya Inamdar 77, Sounak Biswas 68).
