Rana slips

NEW DELHI: India’s Vikram Rana carded a three-over 75 to slip to the eighth place after the third round of the Malaysian amateur open at the Kelab Golf Sarawak (Malaysia) on Saturday.

Rana was eight shots away from leader Tanyakon Krongpha, who has an aggregate of five-under 139.

Rashid Khan, who scored his second consecutive par round for a total of 220, was one stroke behind Rana.

Gagan Verma’s two-over round took him to 221 and he was at the tied 15th spot.

In the ladies section, Shreya Ghai did one better than her first round performance and was placed 11th after scoring 80. Her total after two rounds is 161. Shweta Galande missed the cut, which fell at 166.
