Akash, Michelle in lead

CHENNAI: G. Akash opened up a one-point lead in the Jawahar Vidyalaya State under-25 chess tournament being held here. In the penultimate round, Akash defeated R.A. Pradeep Kumar to move into the lead.

In the women’s category, P. Michelle Catherina also enjoys a one- point cushion after registering a win over R. Karthikeyini.
