Showers bring relief from heat

NEW DELHI: The Capital experienced light showers on Saturday evening, bringing relief to people from the oppressive heat of the past few days.

The maximum temperature stood at 39.6 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal, while the minimum was 26.4 degrees.

According to the weatherman, 0.7 mm of rainfall was recorded at Safdarjung till 8-30 p.m. “It will be a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain and thundershowers accompanied by squall over the next 24 hours,” he added.
