Four held in bag-lifting case
NEW DELHI: Four persons have been arrested for alleged involvement in several cases of bag-lifting from different parts of the Capital. A country-made pistol and three knives have allegedly been seized.
Acting on a tip-off, the police laid a trap at the Sarojini Nagar market on May 19 and arrested the accused when they reached there to commit a theft in the area. They were later identified as Rajesh Kumar (31), Ram Kumar (32), Raju (35) and Rama Swami (40). The police claim to have worked out ten cases of theft with the arrest.
Five stolen pen drives, a mobile phone and ten laptop bags have allegedly been recovered.
