NEW DELHI: Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy is likely to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for the second consecutive term on Wednesday. Ahead of government formation, Dr. Reddy, who returned to power with an impressive win in the Assembly elections, met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi here on Sunday.

During the meeting, Dr. Reddy apprised them of the party’s performance and discussed about his likely Cabinet.

It was not clear whether his Council of Ministers too would be sworn in on Wednesday. Dr. Reddy, who attended the Congress Working Committee meeting as a special invitee, also met senior leaders Ahmed Patel and Veerappa Moily and is understood to have discussed the modalities of accommodating all sections of the society and the party in the Cabinet. - PTI
