BJP wins 8 seats in Jharkhand
Ranchi: The BJP won eight out of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand, while the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) won two Lok Sabha seats on Saturday.
JMM chief Shibu Soren won both from Dumka parliamentary seat and in the by-election to the Jamtara Assembly seat. The Congress, which had won six seats in 2006, could bag only one with Union minister Subodh Kant Sahay defeating BJP’s Ram Tahal Choudhary in the Ranchi Lok Sabha seat by 13,280 votes.
