Indian girls lose

NEW DELHI: Chiense Taipei defeated India in a play-off match of the Asia-Oceania World junior under-14 girls’ tennis championship in Kuching, Malaysia.

The Indian girls were scheduled to meet Uzbekistan for the 11th place.

The results:

Chiense Taipei beat India 2-0 (Ya-Hsuan Lee bt Sai Samhitha 7-6(1), 6-1; Min-Chi Hsu bt Tarrannum Handa 7-5, 6-2).
