TN wins title

Mumbai: Tamil Nadu girls beat Chattisgarh 63-62 in the final of the Lakdawala National Youth (under-16) basketball championship on Saturday.

Tamil Nadu’s Priyadarshini Raja was adjudged the best player of the final.

The result: Girls’ final: Tamil Nadu 63 (L. Suganya 25, Priyadarshini Raja 24, Thamarai Selvi 10) bt Chattisgarh 62 (Pushpa Nishad 13, A. Kavita 12, Sangeeta Mandal 12, Shrishti Oraon 10). Boys’ final: Madhya Pradesh 53 (Indraveer Singh 13, Jaynesh Patel 11) bt Chattisgarh 30.
