VISAKHAPATNAM: With many cases of cutaneous anthrax, diarrhoea and fevers being reported from the Visakha agency, the CPI(M) district committee has launched Girijana Arogya Chaitanya Yatras to create awareness among the Girijans. The Chaitanya Yatras commenced on Thursday. Improving sanitation, water supply, care to be taken with cattle and other animals, meat consumption, steps to prevent malaria, diarrhoea and other diseases were being explained to the Girijans, district secretary Ch. Narasinga Rao and Paderu division secretary M. Suryanarayana said on Friday. The party asked the government to take immediate steps to control the diseases.
