CHENNAI: Even as the Tamil Nadu Football Association is giving shape to the organising committee, the list of State probables for the Santosh Trophy national championship getting underway from May 24, has been trimmed to meet the AIFF’s deadline for registering 30 players. According to the Team manager, A.S.K. Rajendran among the I-league players who are expected to serve Tamil Nadu, only four have reported so far — Sabeeth (Viva Kerala), Pradeep (Mumbai FC), Kali Allaudin (Mahindra United) and Prem (Pune FC). Four more — Mohanraj (Mohun Bagan), Ravanan (Mahindra United), Sathish (goalkeeper Dempo) and Kulothungan (Mumbai FC) — are expected to join in the next few days. “We have also sought the service of Anandavasan of Mohan Bagan. We hope to know the response soon,” he said. Meantime, a list of 30 probables was prepared with those available. This will be further brought down to 20 prior to the championship. The list of probables: Goalkeepers: Nithin Lal, Billa and Sathish. Defenders: Parthiban, Sathish, Prem, Hemant Singh, James, Naveen, Kali Allaudin, Ravanan, Mohanraj. Mid-fielders: Freddy, Jagan sr, Justus Antony, Pradeep, Nirmal, David, Raj Mohan, Bankok, Suresh and Kulothungan. Strikers: Riju, Ramesh, Ashok kumar, Kanakaraj, Elamurugan Suryakumar, Muthu and Sabeeth. — Special Correspondent
