Two records set

Coimbatore: Two records took a tumble on the second day of the Tamil Nadu College of Engineering 82nd State senior athletics championship here on Saturday.

S. Saraswathi crossed the 51-metre mark for the first time in her career and with it bettered her own javelin record of 49.62m set in Delhi in 2006.

Pudukottai’s L. Surya stopped the clock at 18:03.2s for the women’s 5000m gold in record time.
