Kerala in final
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Host Kerala and Karnataka will vie for top honours in the men’s section of the South Zone senior baseball championships at the Chandrasekharan Nair stadium on Sunday.
Both teams recorded two wins apiece in the four-team league and last league match between Kerala and Karnataka will decide the winner of the tournament. In the league matches on Saturday, Kerala crushed Pondicherry 10-2 and then overcame Tamil Nadu 12-9 while Karnataka thrashed Pondicherry 10-2. Karnataka had beaten Tamil Nadu 10-0 in the opening match on Friday. In the women’s section, Karnataka crushed Kerala 19-9.
