NEW DELHI: Rest of the World made sure of the President’s Cup after taking an unsurpassable 19-9 lead after seven rounds of its eight-round rapid match against host Azerbaijan at Baku on Saturday. Spearheaded by World champion Viswanathan Anand, the visitor has come out victorious in every round after narrowly losing the first. It won the fifth round 3-1, sixth 2.5-1.5 and the seventh, 3.5-0.5 to take a commanding 10-point lead ahead of the final round. Meanwhile, in the 39th Bosna chess tournament in Sarajevo, P. Hari Krishna drew for the second successive day after facing China’s Wang Hao in the second round. Ukraine’s Pavel Eljanov (two points) consolidated his position at the top by beating the Netherlands’ Ivan Sokolov.
