VELLORE: The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has commissioned the Black Berry service for its post-paid mobile customers in Vellore and Tiruvannamalai districts. According to a release, the post-paid mobile customers could now enjoy the freedom and benefits of using Black Berry smart phones to stay connected to people and information even while on the move. The service had been launched for enterprise and individual customers with Black Berry 8700, Black Berry Curve 8310/8320, and Black Berry 3G Bold 9000 smart phones. The Black Berry smart phones support seamless access to e-mail, voice, SMS & MMS, Internet service and Internet applications through Black Berry Internet Services while on travel. email accountsIt allows the customers access to the most popular email accounts such as Yahoo Mail, G-mail, Rediffmail, etc. The tariff plans under the Black Berry Services are Rs.299, Rs.499 and Rs.999 a month. The BSNL has reduced the call charges for calls made from the BSNL public call offices (PCOs) with effect from May 1. Call charge for local calls is Re. one for 90 seconds and for STD calls Re. one for 60 seconds. PCO operators have been requested to carry out necessary modifications in their instruments.
