Sanjay can go abroad for shooting
J. Venkatesan
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday permitted Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, on bail in a 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case, to go abroad for six months from June 1 for film shooting.
In his application, he gave details of his visit to South Africa, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Zambia and Namibia from June to December this year for shooting ‘All the Best Fun Begins’, ‘No Problem’, ‘Double Dhamal’, ‘Sankee’ and ‘Indian’. Mr. Dutt, who was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment by a TADA court, has been on bail since 2007 and was allowed in the past to go abroad.
A Bench consisting of Chief Justice K.G. Balakrishnan and Justices Arijit Pasayat and P. Sathasivam allowed Mr. Dutt’s application on condition that he surrender his passport to the CBI on his return.
