Harini triumphs

TIRUVARUR: S. Harini, with 8.5 points, after the 11th and final round won the title at the State FIDE-rated chess championship for women at Tiruthuraipoondi on Friday.

K. Murali Mohan, General Secretary, Tamil Nadu State Chess Association gave away the prizes.

Important results (11th round): Pooja Kanth 7.5 lost to R. Bharathi 8.5; Sathyapriya 7.5 lost to S. Harini 8.5; Michelle Catherina 7.5 lost to Syed Nabeela Farheen 8; Srija Seshadri 7.5 drew with R. Visalatchi 7.5; B. Jeyassri 6.5 lost to A. Akshaya 8; C.H. Savetha 7.5 bt J. Janani 6.5; A. Sithalatchumi 7.5 bt Arthysri 6.5; Janu 7 bt Balakannamma 6.5; R. Abirami 6.5 drew with S. Anushya 6.5; Hemapriya 7 bt Prathipa 6.
