TIRUNELVELI: Independent candidate for Tirunelveli Parliamentary constituency M. Arunachalam, who has been allotted ‘Gas Cylinder’ symbol, withdrew himself from the battle of ballot on Friday in support of AIADMK candidate K. Annamalai. Presenting a shawl to the AIADMK candidate, Mr. Arunachalam said that he took this decision after Mr. Annamalai had promised to resolve the problems being highlighted by him during electioneering. AIADMK Tirunelveli City district secretary Popular Muthiah and Tirunelveli rural district secretary Senthur Pandian were present.
