Under-17 State chess championship
Chennai: Sivakasi Chess Club will conduct the TN State under-17 chess tournament for boys and girls from May 25 to 30 at Sri Kaliswari College, Sivakasi.
The top two players from this tournament will represent Tamil Nadu in the National under-17 championship to be held in Jharkhand later this year. Players born on or after January 1, 1992 are eligible to take part.
TNSCA affiliated units can send two entries, and recognised chess clubs one entry. The normal entry fee per player is Rs. 250 and the donor entry fee is Rs. 500 for boys and Rs. 450 for girls.
