Braille signage features on EVMs

PUDUCHERRY: With Braille signage features to be implemented in the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) in all polling stations located in the Union Territory for the Lok Sabha polls, the Elections Department has requested non-governmental organisations and wardens of homes for visually impaired persons to inform the visually challenged electors of the availability of the facility. This was to facilitate visually challenged electors to cast their votes without the assistance of an attendant, said a press release.
