Rajendran wreaks havoc
Udhagamandalam: Left-arm mediumpacer A. Rajendran picked an amazing eight for 10 as Colts Cricket Club raced to a handsome nine-wicket win over Yankees Cricket Club in the TNCA-NDCA first division league for the K-Lite Rolling Trophy at the Laidlaw Memorial School grounds recently.
Earlier, middle order batsman Joji’s unbeaten 110 came in handy as Gudalur Cricket Club defeated Nilgiris Cricket Club on a better run rate in a rain affected match at the HPF grounds.

First division (K-Lite Rolling Trophy): Fern Hill Youngsters 148 (B. Ramesh four for 50) lost to Youngstars CC 149 for eight in 30.1 overs (J.C. Leo Christy 31, Mukesh four for 36); Gudalur CC 261 for eight in 40 overs (Joji 110 not out) bt Nilgiris CC 93 for six in 21 overs; Yankees CC 27 (A. Rajendran eight for 10) lost to Colts CC 28 for one in 3.5 overs. — Sports Reporter
