BANGALORE: HAL Sports Club continued its reign at the top of the BDFA super division football league. At the Football Stadium here on Tuesday, the aircraftmen zoomed past Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) for a 3-0 verdict and won the George Hoover trophy. HAL finished its league commitments with 35 points from 13 matches (11 wins and two draw) while RWF ended up with 20 points after 13 ties. R.C. Prakash gave HAL the lead in the sixth minute and struck once again in the 57th minute before Kartigeyan completed the tally with a 73rd minute strike. KSP with 31 points and a game against LRDE in hand, is assured of the second place while MEG (21 points) and BEML (24) will fight it out for a third place finish. In the second match of the day, ASC scored a flattering 5-0 win over BEL to climb a few notches in the league ladder. ASC has 22 points from 12 outings (seven wins and a draw). BEL is poorly placed with just 13 points from 12 matches (three wins, four draw). Kiran Kumar (33rd), B. Nitesh (64th, 79th), Ramachandran (70th) and A.R.
