Swine flu tests come negative

HYDERABAD: The test results of swab samples of the last suspected case of influenza A (H1N1) virus in the city have come negative. The officials of the Government General and Chest Hospital on Tuesday informed that the reports from the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) with regards to the passenger who travelled from Canada last week were received and that all was clear and that he would be sent home today.

On Monday, another person who had travelled from Germany and was admitted here for suspected symptoms of the flu was also cleared and sent home. “There are no fresh cases of any passenger arriving here and complaining of the symptoms,” the hospital officials informed.
