Young Orions scrapes through
Bangalore: Young Orions, Bangalore, overcame a tough challenge from Merchants, Davangere to win at 28-22 in the State sub-junior basketball tournament’s boys’ under-13 league match at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium Courts here on Monday.
The Orions trailed 14-17 in the third quarter, but rallied back in the fourth, thanks to Thomas Daniel who scored 17 points and guided his team to victory.
The Merchants held the game till the third quarter, but struggled to cope with the opponent’s speed and skill. Sachin was the highest scorer with seven points for Merchants.
