Brace by Godyal

NEW DELHI: Ashish Godyal struck two goals to guide Northern Railway to a 2-0 victory over Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in a group ‘II’ match of the ’A’ division in the Chief Minister’s Cup DSA institutional football league at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Monday.

The Railways took its tally to nine points from three matches, while BSNL has six points from three games.

In group ‘I’ of the senior division, Reserve Bank of India failed to report for its match against Zakir Hussain College. Following two consecutive walk-overs, the organising committee has cancelled the other matches of Reserve Bank.

Meanwhile, it was announced that the match between Railway Board and Urban Development Ministry had been postponed on request as both the teams had many players busy with election duty.
