Cordiant is champion

PALAKKAD: Tejas (70) and Madan Mohan (64) helped Cordiant, Ernakulam, stun State Bank of Travancore by 33 runs and win the K.H. Syed Ali Memorial all-Kerala cricket tournament at the Fort Ground here on Sunday.

The scores: Cordiant, Ernakulam 225 for seven in 45 overs (Tejas 70, Madan Mohan 64) bt SBT, Thiruvananthapuram 192 in 43 overs (A. V. Jagadeesh 30, C. P. Shahid three for 36, Fahad three for 21).

Special prizes: Abhishek Hegde (best batsman), C. P. Shahid (best bowler), Hari Prashanth (most promising youngster), Tejas (man of the match). – Principal Correspondent
