Jayachandran, Gopinath shine

Santhome Sports Academy’s Jayachandran (83 n.o.) played a stellar role in his side’s massive win over R.M. Manohar CA in the Panasonic-Hitech Diagnostics trophy under-16 cricket knock-out tournament.

In another match, Ganapath Sethie (four for five) helped Khan’s CA score a nine-wicket win over Sai’s CA.

The tournament was inaugurated by Arjuna awardee Wilson Cherian.

The scores: Santhome Sports Academy 228 for five in 20 overs (Jayachandran 83 n.o., Siddarth 39, B. Kishore Kumar 33, Nitin Dharam 33) bt R.M. Manohar Cricket Academy 60 in 18.1 overs (Selva three for 14, Sai Rupesh three for nine).

Mar Gregorios Cricket Academy 105 for six in 20 overs lost to Futures Stars Cricket Academy 106 for two in 12 overs (R. Akash 43 n.o., Raghav Viswanathan 38).

Sai’s Cricket Academy 91 in 19.4 overs (Aadithya 25 n.o., Ganapath Sethie four for five) lost to Khan’s Cricket Academy 92 for one in 12.5 overs (A. Akash 58).

Taekwondo camp in Kancheepuram

The Kancheepuram District Taekwondo Association will conduct its summer coaching camp from May 5 to June 5.
