FIDE-rated State-level tournament

CHENNAI: The Sports Promotion Foundation will organise the FIDE-rated Jawahar Vidyalaya-11th Tamil Nadu State chess championship for the Annapragada Trophy and one for women for the Nivarthi Trophy from May 19 to 24 at the Jawahar Vidyalaya, 36, IV Avenue, Ashok Nagar, Chennai-83. Each district Association/Special Unit affiliated to State Association can field two entries in each category. Every TNSCA academy can field one entry in each category.

Entry fee for Open category is Rs.400 and for women Rs.300. Donor entry fee is Rs. 800 and for women it is Rs.600. Total cash prize fund is Rs. 20,400 including Rs. 12,200 for the Open category. The best game winner gets the Tenneti Venugopal Rao Rolling Trophy along with cash prize of Rs.500.
