Pathanamthitta in final

PATHANAMTHITTA: Host Pathanamthitta will meet Malappuram in the boys’ final of the State sub-junior handball championships played at the Malappalli Public stadium.

In the semifinals, Pathanamthitta defeated Kozhikode 27-17, while Malappuram beat Thrissur 15-8.

In the girls’ section, Kollam and Kannur entered the final. Kollam scored a facile 18-5 win over Kozhikode, while Kannur crushed Thiruvananthapuram 20-3 in the semifinals. — Principal Correspondent
