Purandeswari thanks colleagues, workers

VISAKHAPATNAM: Congress candidate for Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency and Union Minister of State D. Purandeswari while thanking the party workers and leaders for their support in the general elections, wanted unity to prevail to strengthen the party.

She was speaking at a meeting organised by the S. Kota Assembly constituency party workers and leaders on Saturday. MLA P. Mangapathi Rao, party candidate Jogi Naidu, S. Kota area leaders and others attended.

Collector and District Election Officer Sanjay Kumar on Saturday thanked the officers and staff concerned with the general elections for successfully conducting the polling exercise.

He addressed a meeting of Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers of the constituencies in the district and discussed the arrangements being made for counting of votes on May 16.
