It’s easy: Cartoonist Hari expalining the techniques in drawing cartoon to participants at a summer workshop in Visakhapatnam on Saturday. VISAKHAPATNAM: There was good response to the summer camp organised to impart knowledge on cartoon design techniques to the children in the age group of nine and 16. This was organised by the Bala Vikas Foundation, an NGO working for the welfare and development of women and children. Nearly 30 children attended the camp. Srujana a ninth class student of Sri Krishna Vidya Mandir said, “The camp helped me to find out different types of cartoons and how the expressions should be”. New ideasIt also helped me to develop new ideas, Ms. Srujana added. B. Hari, director of the summer camp said that the purpose of the camp was to inculcate knowledge about cartoons in young children. The response was good, he added. Founder-secretary of BVF Narava Prakasa Rao presided over the summer camp. Handwriting campThere would be hand writing improvement camp for the children in the age group of 10 to 18 from May 5. It would continue for a week. Interested may contact cell no.9393171970.
