NEW DELHI: As many as 12 teams will participate in the second Gyan Prakash memorial cricket tournament for under-11 boys to be held at the Siri Fort Sports Complex from May 5. The teams have been divided into two groups and the top two sides from each group will qualify for the semifinals. The tournament is being organised in memory of Gyan Prakash, the coach and mentor of former Test cricketer Madan Lal. The teams: Group I: Madan Lal Academy, R.R. Gymkhana, Frank Anthony, Guru Gobind Singh Academy, Air India and K.N. Colts. Group II: Sonnet Club, Sumit Dogra Club, MRV Academy, R.P. Academy, Gyan Bharti and West Delhi Academy. No sweat for FCINeeraj and Golmai scored a brace each as defending champion Food Corporation of India (FCI) outplayed Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) 4-0 in a senior division match of the Delhi Soccer Association annual institutional league at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Friday. After playing three matches each, FCI has nine points and OBC four. In the ‘A’ division, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) defeated Air India 3-0. Naresh Kumar (2) and Sateshwar Prasad were the scorers. BSNL has six points from two matches while Air India is yet to open the account. Raju in the vanRaju Ali Mollah carded a six-under 64 in the third round to grab a seven-stroke lead in the PGTI Players Championship at the par-70 Rambagh Golf Club here on Friday. Raju’s total went up to 14-under 196. Anirban Lahiri also shot a 64 in the third round that propelled him to tied-second place at seven-under 203 along with Vikrant Chopra, who returned a four-under 66.
