BANGALORE: Karnataka State Police (KSP) and Controllerate of Inspection Electronics (CIL) posted fluent wins over RWF and ADE respectively in the BDFA super division league at the Football Stadium here on Friday. While the KSP men were runaway winners against Rail Wheel Factory — 5-1 — the CIL side struck once in either half to defeat a lowly ADE. KSP captain B.V. Pradeep opened the scoring with a fifth minute strike before Sampath Kumar (33rd), Karthigeyan (42nd and 52nd) and Karthick (63rd) completed the tally. Nanda Kumar scored the only goal for RWF in the 73rd minute. KSP has 28 points from 11 matches (nine wins and one draw), while RWF, after a string of impressive wins, has 17 (five wins and two draws) from the same number of games. In the other tie, CIL went into the lead in the 30th minute through D. Kumar and almost at the call of time, Ravindran struck to seal the match. With both teams having played 11 encounters each, CIL has 16 points (four wins and four draws), while ADE has just six (two wins). Meanwhile, Nationals completed its ‘A’ division league engagements with 19 points after a 1-0 win over RBI. Facing relegationRBI, with just nine points from 11 matches, faces relegation along with Tilak Memorial and Universal (both of which did not play the league after entering), Queen Star (one point) and BUFC (nine points). Five teams from the ‘A’ division and Super division will be relegated. — Special Correspondent
