Century takes trophy
KOCHI: P.A. Harikrishna hit a century as Century CC defeated Kerala Cricket Academy (Perumbavur) by 95 runs and won the N.S. Krishnan Trophy Ernakulam district under-17 cricket league here on Thursday.
KCA’s medium-pacer Alvin Elias, with five for 49, also impressed in the final.
The scores (final): Century 210 for eight in 40 overs (P.A. Harikrishna 109, Alwin Elias five for 49) bt Kerala Cricket Academy 115 in 32.3 overs (Abdul Safar three for 24).
Semifinals: Century 155 for seven in 30 overs (Abdul Safar 64) bt Muthoot ECC 103 in 28.2 overs (Nithin 54, Ankush Harikrishnan four for 14).
KCA 115 for six in 27 overs (Nithin Babu 25) bt Tripunithura CC 115 for nine (Alvin three for 24, Jaisal Thampi three for 27). (Match tied but KCA, which lost fewer wickets, was declared winner).
