HAL flies high

Bangalore: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) scored a 3-0 victory over ADE in the BDFA super division league match at the Football Stadium here on Wednesday.

HAL captain Xavier Vijayakumar scored twice (36th min. and 90th min.) to help his team move to the top of the points table.

The other scorer for HAL was Fredrick (22). HAL now has 26 points from ten matches while second-placed KSP has 25 from 10 outings.

In the second match, Rail Wheel Factory defeated Bharat Electronics Limited (EM) 2-1. BEL scored first through Nanda in the 62nd minute before Satish Kumar netted the equaliser for RWF.

A penalty in the 87th minute, taken by Prakash, assured victory to RWF.

Earlier in the ‘A’ division league match, SWR prevailed over the Royals 4-2. Karthik (13th min.), Suresh (29th min.), Johnson (32nd min.) and Vinod (60th min.) scored for SWR while Arun (2nd min.) and Dharan (57th min.) chipped in for Royals.
