TNCC complains against Sri Lankan MP

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Congress Committee treasurer D.Sudharssanam has filed a complaint to Chief Electoral Officer Naresh Gupta protesting against the election campaign by a Sri Lankan MP.
In his complaint, Mr. Sudharssanam said the MP Sivaji Lingam was canvassing for a BJP candidate in Chennai, which was against the law of the land. As he spoke against the Government of India and the Congress, he wanted the Election Commission to take necessary action against him, the statement added.
The Chief Electoral Officer Naresh Gupta said the petition was under examination.
