Absconds with cash

CHENNAI: A domestic help of a businessman who was asked to deposit Rs.2 lakh in a bank allegedly absconded with the money in Mannadi on Monday.

According to a complaint lodged by G. Mahendra Kumar (44) of Govindappa Naicken Street, Guhan alias Ravi (20) whom he employed on April 17 was given the money on Monday for depositing in a nearby bank. The accused neither went to the bank nor came back with the cash.

The Kothawalchavidi police have registered a case.
