Certification course in valuation soon
Staff Reporter
CHENNAI: The National Association of Realtors-India is planning to have tie-ups with the National Housing Bank (NHB) and the Indian Banks Association (IBA) in order to conduct a certification course in valuation, said Abdur Ravoof, President of Chennai Real Estate Agents’ Association.
Speaking on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the Chennai Real Estate Agents’ Association here on Tuesday he said, “Specialised education will help the real estate agents perform better in this condition of market.”
An agreement with the NHB and IBA would be reached shortly, he added. The proposed initiative is part of the strategy of NAR-India of elevating real estate practice in the country to global standards, he said. As Chennai Real Estate Agents Association is part of NAR-India, the introduction of world-class specialised education on brokerage management and valuation in the city will help the industry, said Bhadresh P.Mehta, former president of the Association.
There is a need for injecting professionalism, he said.
