It features the ‘Superstar’ sporting a hundred different costumes CHENNAI: Saying it once could have well been as good as saying it a hundred times for Baasha, but in Enthiran, actor Rajinikanth has actually danced in a hundred different ways for one particular song filmed at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad recently. This song, which was recently shot, took as long as 22 days, according to sources in the industry. It features the ‘Superstar’ sporting a hundred different costumes, with as many dance movements choreographed by Prabhu Deva. The song also features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who plays the female lead. Director Shankar, working on the multi-crore project, is said to have had several rounds of discussions with graphic designers before deciding on this experiment. Known for his extravagance and use of graphics, Shankar was said to have racked his brains before coming up with this idea. It had to be something starkly different from his previous films. Once this struck the team, it meant strenuous work for over 22 days. Costumes were specially designed and movements choreographed with as many as 100 variations. “Even in Sivaji, director Shankar made Rajinikanth looked stylish in the first half. And then, then the bald ‘MGR’ character came as a surprise and the audience loved it. This will only be better,” a senior industry professional said. Interestingly, just when this song was being shot at one floor of the Ramoji Film City, actors Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal and Venkatesh were shooting for Unnaipol Oruvan, at another floor of the venue. In a way, it was the coming together of top stars of Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood and Mollywood at one location.
