Father kills two

Jehanabad: A man allegedly killed his two children by throwing them in a well following a tiff with his wife over a trivial issue in Bihar’s Jehanabad district, police said on Sunday.

The bodies of the two children — identified as Gauri Kumari and Chandan Kumar — were on Sunday recovered from a well in Phikraur village, Sub-inspector at Tehta outpost, Shambunath Rai said.

Gyanti Devi has lodged an FIR against her husband Ajay Yadav and his nephew Rajesh alias Shyam, resident of Ganga Sagar village, for throwing her two minors into a well, Mr. Rai said.

Rajesh alias Shyam has been arrested in this connection but Ajay Yadav is still at large, he said.

The police said Gyanti Devi in her FIR alleged that her husband in collusion with his nephew Rajesh threw her children into a well in Phikraur village on April 24 when she came back from her maternal house.

Further investigations are on, the sub-inspector said.
