ITF rejects T.A.’s appeal

NEW DELHI: The International Tennis Federation has rejected Tennis Australia’s appeal to shift the Davis Cup Asia-Oceania Group ‘I’ tie to be staged from May 8 to 10, out of India.

“We received a communication from the ITF today stating that Tennis Australia’s appeal has been rejected. We are looking forward to Australia sending its best team for the tie to be held in Chennai,” said Anil Khanna, the Secretary-General of the All-India Tennis Association.
