Kailash stuns Adethya

Salem: G. Kailash of Virudhunagar scored a stunning opening round win over R. Adethya of Kancheepuram in the boys’ section of the 22nd State under-11 chess championship, organised by the Elite Club of Chess, at the Ponna Gounder Kalyana Mandapam here on Wednesday.

Playing the Semi Slav set up, Kailash captured the ‘C’ file smartly, won an exchange in move 36, and wrapped up the game in style.
