Magesh, Konguvel begin well
KODUNGALLUR: Grandmaster P. Magesh Chandran, the top seed from Tamil Nadu, and ONGC’s second-seeded P. Konguvel opened their campaigns with easy wins in the Rotary Federal Bank all-India FIDE-rated chess tournament which began here on Thursday.

Rly) bt Jeevanandam (TN); K.S. Radhakrishnan (Ker) lost to Arghyadip Das (WB); M. Shyam Sunder (TN) bt N. Akshaya (TN); Keerthan Prabhu (Kar) lost to Himanshu Sharma (Hary).
