Karthick saw Zero Boys Cricket Club score a 101-run win over Rainbow 1972 Masters Memories Cricket Club and emerge champion of the CDCA league entry knockout tournament for the Super Spinning Mills Trophy here recently. The scores: Final: Zero Boys CC 220 for seven in 25 overs (S. Karthick 109, K. Sivakumar 38, R. Gowtham five for 61) bt Rainbow 1972 MMCC 119 for seven in 25 overs (N. Jagadeesan 35 not out, K. Thiyagarajan four for 39). Third place: Sun Flash 168 for six in 20 overs (Dhanasekar 32 not out) bt Amicable Androids CC 61 in nine overs. Semifinals: Sun Flash 125 for eight in 26 overs (Maybin 47, K. Thiyagarajan three for 54) lost to Zero Boys 128 for four in 20.5 overs; Amicable Androids 143 in 24.4 overs (Murali 36, R. Gowtham six for 40, Hari three for 50) lost to Rainbow 1972 MMCC 145 for four in 21.2 overs (R. Gowtham 59, Karthik 41).
