Fleeing ISI agent caught, another still at large
Rajkot: Two Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agents on Wednesday gave the district police the slip while being taken to Lucknow near Manpur in Rajasthan, the police said here.
One of them was later captured by the Rajasthan police, while the other was still at large. Adil Anjum Nazzir Ahmed and Abdul Shakur Adil Rehman were being taken to Lucknow in a vehicle but managed to escape.
Adil Anjum was arrested from Lucknow along with his accomplice Abdul Shakur. A fake passport and documents of the Kutch border were recovered from them.
Police said the two were kept in the Bhuj jail and recently shifted to a jail here as renovation work was on in the Bhuj jail.
When they reached Manpur, the two were allowed to attend nature’s call. But they took advantage of darkness and managed to escape with handcuffs on.
